A greenway or a more dynamic hike
After starting on foot along the Castillon trail, let’s now head out by bike from the Villa, following the greenway “Pont du Gard.” On one side, you will head toward Beaucaire, through vineyards and garrigues, and on the other side, the Pont du Gard and Uzès will punctuate your route with marvels, history, and points of interest that will captivate both adults and children.
The greenway passes just 100 meters from the Villa, whether you have your own bikes or need to rent one from my partner @le Hangar du vélo, it’s easily accessible for an outdoor discovery of fishing spots, canyoning, hiking, sightseeing, and gourmet tastings.
A 32 km route in total, almost flat the entire way.
On one side, the Abbey of St. Roman; on the other, the Pont du Gard, the village of Remoulins, Vers Pont du Gard, and Uzès. Numerous picnic areas and tables from quality local Gard restaurateurs.
For a day, half-day, or multiple days with stops along the way. The Villa has tested this delightful route on an electric bike, which is easy even for children, and I recommend taking a guided tour to discover the local wildlife and flora along the Via Rhona, starting from Beaucaire.
