CASTILLON DU GARD
perched on a calcareous mound, the stunning medieval village of Castillon du Gard dominates the southern end of the Gorges du Gardon. Accessible from the gîte by car or by a lovely footpath across the scrubland, it boasts the privilege of being the only village to enjoy a plunging view of the Pont du Gard, which can be reached by foot via the GR63. The centre of the village, carefully restored in the late 1970s, is a pure marvel with its cobbled streets, gargoyles, old watchtower and century-old olive trees. You will also find some quality shops, including a baker, a caterer, two cafés, a newsagent and tobacconist, four restaurants, two of which are gastronomic, a beauty salon and a hairdresser.
This is an indoor swimming pool, an indoor swimming pool, a vacation home, a gite, and a vacation rental.
